Class 5 Key Information

During this half term we have been doing lots of exciting things!

As a class we have been learning the story ‘Peace at Last’ using ‘Talk for Writing’. Once we could confidently orally tell the story we worked hard to write the story using capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.

In Maths we have been focusing on addition and subtraction using numbers to 10. We are now learning about numbers to 20 and next half term we will be transferring these skills to addition and subtraction.

In the afternoons we have been busy learning about how to keep healthy- we even made our own healthy smoothies! We have also completed a ‘Boot Camp’ and evaluated how it made our bodies feel. We got very hot and sweaty.

  • Spelling test on Friday
  • PE on Tuesday
  • Reading books are changed daily by the children themselves.

Please sign/comment in the reading record so we know that you have looked at the book with your child.
